![]() ![]() The book is very fast paced and refreshing in that it consists entirely of dialogue. ![]() What really makes the book good is that you love pretty much all the characters and connect with them. After another piece is discovered, the nameless man assembles a team that consists of two army pilots and a genius Quebecois linguist to study the hand and recover any more pieces that may be hiding around the globe. Rose believes the giant hand is just one piece of a larger structure, and invents a device that uses Argon-37 to try to detect more pieces. He's highly intelligent, witty and purely pragmatic and logical. The nameless man is without a doubt, one of my favorite characters (and favorite audiobook performances) of any book I've read/listened to. I'm about halfway through the second book (Waking Gods) and its hard to stop. I've been listening to the series on audible, and flew through the first book (Sleeping Giants). ![]()
